How Can I Help

We know that every animal lover cannot own a pet for a variety of reasons. Fortunately, there are literally hundreds of way you can support Friends of Animals without adopting a pet. Here are just a few ideas...

  • Shop on-line with iGive.com/foa-ks

    As of March 1, 2010, we have about 50 people registered at iGive and they have raised over $300 for FOA and ... It's so easy. Just register at iGive.com/foa-ks - for free - and shop on line through iGive. Participating merchants donate a portion of the money you spend to your selected charity - Friends of Animals!

  • Donate

    Donations to consider include newspapers, paper towels, old sheets, blankets, towels, laundry and dish detergent, bleach, dog and cat food, cat litter, pet toys, collars and leashes, and hand sanitizer all of which are used daily at the shelter. Also, serviceable pet crates of all sizes are a necessity when FOA transports pets to new homes and animal rescues.   

  • Volunteer

    Volunteers are always needed to assist with our many events and off-site adoptions. Check the Upcoming Events page often to find out when our meetings are held and please join us!

  • Foster Care

    The Junction City/Geary County Animal Shelter and Friends of Animals are looking for foster homes. If you would like to know more about fostering or are interested in becoming a foster home for shelter animals please call Lisa Junghans at 238-1359 or Sally Mayes at 238-8751.

  • Become a Member 

    Complete and return the Friends of Animals Membership Form.
