                               NEW YEAR, NEW CHALLENGE UPDATE
 
     The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge started on January 18th and will continue until April 18th with grants of $1,000 to $10,000 awarded to winning shelters. 

     As of Sunday, February 7th, Friends of Animals, Inc. is ranked 329 overall out of the almost 8,000 rescues taking part in this challenge. In the state of Kansas, we are ranked 8th!

Click on the purple button and you could help FOA win a grant worth up to $10,000! A total of 85 prizes will be given throughout the Challenge. Tell your family, friends and co-workers!

January 2010Shelter Update

For the month of January, 128 animals were turned into the animal shelter. Out of the 128 animals that were brought into the shelter, 100 of them were either abandoned or picked up as strays and 28 of them were surrendered by their owners.

Out of the 128, only 27 animals were reclaimed. The total number of animals brought into the animal shelter for the year of 2010 is 128.

2010 Calendars available

FOA still has a limited number of 2010 Friends of Animals' Calendar available for purchase. The calendars are $10.00 each and can be purchased at RC Kennels, The Pampered Pet, Paws Inn, Orscheln's Farm and Home, and all local veterinary offices.
